Williamson Square – A Vision For The Future
We worked with Liverpool City Council, Liverpool BID, Liverpool Playhouse and communications consultancy Fabrik Studio to inform a vision for the future of Williamson Square.
The vision and plans will be shaped by the views of people who use this space at the heart of Liverpool city centre.
What we did
In 2018, we popped up three times in Williamson Square using Ed the Campervan. Our mobile workshops used images and storytelling to get people involved.
We engaged nearly 300 people, from small children to people in their 90s, shoppers, theatre-goers, tourists and people just passing through. Some people made special journeys to our pop-up events to have their say.
174 people shared their views online and we created a real buzz on social media.
PLACED gave us clear objectives on how to proceed with relatively light touch early wins with potential for big impact on public satisfaction.”
People showed their passion for making Williamson Square a better place. They shared ideas about the purpose of the space, how it’s maintained, heritage, greening, events and activities. Our findings and recommendations are helping partners shape their vision and plans for Williamson Square.
