Support us
PLACED is a social enterprise working independently, which means we don’t receive local or national government funding. Our income comes from commissions, charitable grants, and sponsorship – and we reinvest our income in supporting young people and communities.
Our programmes, events and activity couldn’t exist without the support of our network and we’re so grateful for their generosity. Their ongoing support makes a huge difference to communities across the north west and beyond.
If you’re interesting in supporting our mission to bring collaboration and diversity to discussion around the built environment, you can join us and help to support our work. Volunteer as an Ambassador, sponsor our education work or you can commission us to help you connect with local communities, involving them in emerging projects and plans.
Your support helps us to make better places.
Become an Ambassador
Do you want to help people make better places? Are you a professional, academic or student, interested in people and places? And can you commit just two days a year to volunteer with us?
Then join us as a volunteer Ambassador!
We have over 150 Ambassadors, from first-year university students to associates in practice, across the sector. Our Ambassadors bring a unique set of skills, knowledge and experiences to our work.
In return for volunteering, you’ll:
- Help shape the places where we live, work and play
- Join our network, make valuable connections
- Build new skills and encourage new talent in your industry
Sponsor us
We’re currently looking for sponsors to support the PLACED Academy, our award-winning education programme, which provides support to young people aged 14-18 about the built environment. We’re inviting companies and organisations to join our sponsors, with sponsor packages starting at £800.
To find out more about the Academy and sponsorship opportunities, visit the PLACED Academy website.
If you’d like to explore other partnership and sponsorship options, we’d love to hear from you.
Commission our services
We work with design teams to bring independent, high-quality engagement to projects and any surplus we make on our engagement commissions is reinvested into our work with young people. Which means that, by including us in your tenders and work, not only do you benefit from our engagement expertise, but you also help us to have a positive impact.
