Sam, Assistant Director
Sam has a PhD in Planning and Environmental Management from the University of Manchester and worked as a Planning academic for 7 years. His research has looked at how Planning and the built environment can support sustainability and more sustainable lives, creating better places for everyone. Most recently he has been looking at how we can support more active travel and physical activity in our towns and cities.
Sam is passionate about Planning education and helping more people contribute to Planning and influence the development of their communities. He hopes to bring his research background together with creative approaches to engagement to help as many people as possible express themselves and shape their communities.
