Jo, Director

Jo completed a BA in Architecture at Sheffield University and a Masters in Interior Design at UCE Institute of Art and Design. Jo worked in the regeneration sector for seven years, first in housing and later in environmental regeneration, before becoming the Education Manager at the Northwest Architecture Centre.

Jo founded PLACED in 2011 out of a desire to develop young people’s understanding of the towns and cities in which they live and how the quality of design impacts on the lives of all residents. Jo is passionate about giving young people the opportunity to have an active role in the changes taking place in their communities, and believes giving them the confidence and self-belief to voice their opinions will support them in making the most of their talents.
