Tim Johns, Ambassador

Tim is a Landscape and Urban Designer working at North Yorkshire County Council. He is working on the Local Nature Recovery Strategy for the county which aims to reverse the decline of wildlife in the coming 25 years, while also bringing many other benefits for people and nature. This includes helping to reduce the impacts of climate change and using nature based solutions to reduce the risk of flooding, absorb carbon and improve people’s health and wellbeing. Tim works with many partners on these goals, including the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust.

Tim also works on Town Centre regeneration projects setting out a ‘road map’ for the future and helping high streets rediscover their place as centres for the local community. Working with town planners, engineers and surveyors, Tim advises local Council’s and their partners on the best approach to achieve vibrant high streets.
