Tamrin Afroz, PLACED Research and Evaluation Officer
Tamrin has an MA in Sustainable Heritage Management from the University of Liverpool and a bachelor’s in architecture. She has international experience in youth leadership and non-formal education, with a passion for the built environment, focusing on historic cities, their intangible elements, and urban regeneration.
She worked on programs across Asia and Africa focused on girls’ empowerment and leadership development outside formal education. In addition to her international efforts, Tamrin has worked locally in Bangladesh and received a national award from the UN for her contributions to community development. She is enthusiastic about cross-cultural fluency, with a dedication to engaging young people in shaping their communities. By merging her academic background and dedication to empowering youth, she is interested in promoting intergenerational understanding of sustainable living.
