Matina Vretto, Ambassador

After her graduation from Nottingham Trent University, Matina has worked in architectural practices in Athens and Kyparissia, Greece. In 2014, she registered as an architect and in 2016 she set up her own design studio focusing on community participation and organized workshops in Greece and Spain. Matina’s research interests revolve around the study of traditional materials and building techniques as well as the advancement of craftsmanship via collaborative projects involving local communities and stakeholders. Matina is currently working with the ArCHIAM Centre (Architecture and Cultural Heritage of India, Arabia and the Maghreb) at the University of Liverpool, School of Architecture.
