James Taylor, Ambassador

Originally from Liverpool, James took part in one of the first PLACED Summer Schools as a participant in his teenage years. He now endeavours to give back some of those same memorable experiences he previously gained, by volunteering as a PLACED Ambassador.

After graduating in 2019 with a degree in architecture, James now works at an award-winning multi-disciplinary architectural design practice, specialising in residential, commercial and regeneration projects, as well as taking on a range of conservation schemes across the Northwest.

His particular interest in conservation is reflected in his personal hand-drawn sketches as he reimagines spaces with a detailed attention towards Liverpool’s rich architectural heritage.

Since PLACED has helped provide the foundation to his career as an architect, James has proudly been engaged by introducing young people to the role of a designer as well as offering advice to those looking to pursue a similar path.
